The definition of home varies from person to person. For some, it is where they live. Others, where their family and friends are. Living at PA, my definition of home has shifted. Is home PA, where I live and where my friends are? Is home East Los Angeles, where I grew up my entire life and where my family is? These questions come up often, and they leave me questioning where home is.
Here at PA, the friendships I have are one of the most important things in my life, up there next to family. So this recurring question, "Where is home?" is surprisingly difficult to answer. But is there a correct answer? Do you have to have a single home? I believe there isn't. Home can be my small dorm room, but it can also be my house in LA, the coffee shop downtown, or even the library. Home is where you feel comfortable. Home is the place you would go when you know you are tired or sad, and you just need a little help getting up. That help may be obtained through the knowledge that your family and friends care about you. It can be obtained by picking your favorite book and a cup of coffee. Happiness and love come in many forms, and the place where you know love is constant, well, that is where home is.
The answer to the question, "Where is home?" is difficult to answer. Home for me is where I know love is constant, and that is where my friends and family is.
